Welcome to Southern Charm Companion Dogs

My name is Terri Cummins, and I am the proud founder of Southern Charm Companion Dogs. With a deep commitment to excellence, I specialize in raising healthy, well-tempered, and pedigreed dogs—carefully selected to become exceptional companions and therapy animals. And yes, they also make the most delightful lap dogs!

Our Goldendoodles, Grace and Maddie, are CKC-registered, while our poodle, Mr. Dynamite, holds AKC registration and is bred to meet show-quality standards. We also offer stud services upon request.

Though our dogs are cherished members of our household, we’ve thoughtfully designed a nurturing, clean, and secure environment tailored for raising puppies. From birth, each puppy is treated as part of our family and receives daily handling and socialization. At six weeks, they transition to a spacious kennel where they begin developing independence—including learning to use a doggy door with guidance from their mother. By eight weeks, we introduce crate training to help ease their transition into their future homes.

All puppies are eligible for CKC registration and are ready for adoption beginning at eight weeks of age.

What makes a doodle truly special is their innate desire to please. With consistent love and guidance, they grow into joyful, loyal, and devoted companions.

F1b Goldendoodle from Pedigreed Breeder in Alabama

Southern Charm Goldendoodle is an in-home Goldendoodle puppy breeder in Alabama, specializing in English Cream Goldendoodles. We are a CKC  registered breeder in Alabama, offering puppies from parents who undergo Embark DNA tests and are cleared for health issues.

Basic Features of F1b Goldendoodle

An F1 Goldendoodle signifies the first generation of purebred Golden Retriever and Poodle. The F1b breed is a 25% Golden Retriever and 75% Poodle blend, which means the Goldendoodle puppy possesses features of both Poodle and Golden Retriever. These adorable puppies inherit the intelligence and friendly personality of the Golden Retriever. On the other hand, the puppies also inherit the hypoallergenic coat of the Poodle.

F1b Goldendoodles feature different coat types, colors, and sizes.  They are the most hypoallergenic and lowest shedding of the Goldendoodles. The coat of a Goldendoodle can be wavy curly, though the features of the coat depend on the parent Poodle’s coat.

Temperament and Personality of Goldendoodles

The Goldendoodle puppies you purchase at Southern Charm Goldendoodle are known for their intelligent, quick learning, friendly, and affectionate personality. All these features make them a perfect pet for all homes. The Goldendoodles are also welcoming to strangers. Therefore, you do not need to worry about the pet when guests come to your house.

Health and Compatibility

The Southern Charm Goldendoodles carry hybrid vigor, which helps the puppies possess better health than the purebred parents. With basic care, you can keep your F1b Goldendoodle healthy and happy. The puppies are also allergy-friendly, which leads to fewer health issues for other pets at your home. Nevertheless, people with allergic tendencies can adopt Goldendoodles since these loving and charming babies do not shed heavily.

While selecting a pet for the home, people often consider the nature of the pet. Nevertheless, many pet owners want to know a pet’s compatibility with other pets at home. If you have multiple pets at home, Goldendoodle will be a perfect new member of your house. They adapt to the new conditions quickly and remain calm. The peace-loving and adorable nature of these teddy bears will bring happiness to your home.

Interested buyers can book their puppies by calling us. As a pedigreed Goldendoodle puppy breeder, we sell standard F1b English Cream Goldendoodles. Call us anytime to learn more about our Goldendoodle breeds.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Are Goldendoodles Hypoallergenic?

Goldendoodles are typically known as hypoallergenic breeds. They are crossbreeds of Poodles and Golden Retrievers. Typically, this breed inherits the low-shed and low-dander traits from Poodles. Southern Charm F1b Goldendoodles shed very lightly, if at all.

How to groom a Goldendoodle?

The slicker brush is the best brush for Goldendoodles. You need to brush them for 5-10 minutes daily to keep their fur tangle-free. Additionally, you can use dry or waterless shampoo occasionally to clean their coats.

How much do Goldendoodles cost?

The cost of Goldendoodles varies from one breeder to another. You need to find a GANA-registered breeder to purchase a healthy puppy. The cost also varies depending on the breeding types, such as F1, F1B, etc.

Can Goldendoodles be black?

Yes. Goldendoodles can be black, though we specialize in English Cream color variants. Apart from black, you can find white, coffee, and other color variants.

What is the best food for a Goldendoodle?

The best food for a Goldendoodle is protein-rich food. You can feed them chicken, lamb, beef, turkey, pork, etc. Additionally, you can also feed them tinned fish, cottage cheese, steamed vegetables, and more.
